Juan Ochoa

President & CEO – Miramar International Group

Juan Ochoa currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Miramar Group, a facilities management and administrative support Services firm. Miramar clients include the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. General Services, foreign governments and several fortune 500 firms.

Ochoa was previously the Chief Executive Officer for the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), which owns and operates McCormick Place, North America’s largest convention center; 800-room Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel; and historic Navy Pier, the Midwest’s top tourist and leisure destination.

Prior to joining the MPEA, Ochoa served for ten years as the President and CEO of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC). Under his leadership, IHCC became one of the most influential business organizations in Illinois.

Ochoa helped hundreds of small companies grow their businesses. He helped thousands of people become U.S. citizens. He has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for scholarships.

Ochoa served on the Board of the Hispanic Congressional Caucus Institute and the Illinois Sports Facilities Board. Additionally, Ochoa served on the City of Chicago’s Economic Opportunities Board, the Chicago Convention and Tourism Board and various other non-profit boards and commissions. He currently serves on the board of MPEA, Cook County Council of Economic Advisors, Latino Leadership Council and is President of the National Association of Latino State Chambers of Commerce.

Ochoa has been recognized by dozens of local and national organizations for his business, community, civic and government leadership roles.

Juan Ochoa served as a machine gunner in the US Marine Corps and is a combat action veteran. Ochoa is married to Alma and has three children, Juan II, Teresa and Tila.
